Yes. On iPhone, Phone and FaceTime always work; Messages and Maps are blocked only if you chose to lock them. On Android, phone calls, Messages, Maps, the camera, the emergency dialer, and Settings can never be locked. Calls home always work.
The ChoreKey app runs entirely on the device by default, no servers, no accounts. If you add ChoreKey+ (a $4.99 one-time upgrade inside the ChoreKey app) and pair your phone with your child’s, chore data and approval photos sync through your own iCloud account so you can approve from your phone. Yes. Add as many children as you want. Each child has their own list and status. With ChoreKey+ you can pair as many children’s phones as you need to one parent app.
Tap “Reset all data” in Settings (you’ll need to do this from the child-facing view via the gear icon → Cancel → long-press the icon). This wipes everything and lets you set a new PIN. We don’t store your PIN anywhere off-device, so this is the only recovery path.
ChoreKey is $2.99 one-time on the App Store, or free on Google Play for Android. No subscription. ChoreKey+ is an optional $4.99 one-time upgrade inside the same app, iPhone only for now, and only the parent’s phone needs it. Both are shared through Family Sharing, so your children’s phones don’t pay again. Pay once and you own it.
